Sending Program Changes From Logic 9 To Axiom Pro 61
Hi,
I was hoping someone could help with the following problem?
When I load a song in Logic 9, and start playing the song I want Logic to send a program change message/patch change message to the Axiom Pro 61
For example the Axiom Pro 61 is on program 20 and I load a new song, when the song starts playing I want to send a message from logic to the Axiom Pro to change the program from Program 20 to say program 30 without me have to touch anything on the Axiom Pro.
I can get Logic to send messages to my other keyboards but I do not seem to be able to do this with the Axiom
Could you please advise if I have to change settings in logic or on the Axiom? The Axiom is connected to my Imac via a usb lead there are no midi leads attached.
I am stumped, please help
I Have the following gear: Axiom Pro 61, Oberheim MC1000, Korg SP250, Motu 828MK2, Motu Micro Lite midi interface 5 in / 5 out, Imac 3.06 GHz Intel COre Duo

M-Audio Axiom 49 - HOW TO FIX DEAD KEYS!
Hello all!
About five years ago I bought the Axiom 49 for a recording project and it served very well for it, the project has take about 4 months to complete and after that I boxed the keyboard and don't used it anymore, it was in perfect condition.
This week I unboxed it to use on another project and for my surprise 11 keys on the middle of keyboard are dead! They only sent aftertouch signals, but not the note on's. The keys are from F#2 - E2
I spend a few hours searching the internet for a solution, but many of the threads points to a hardware problem, and they are right!
I have opened the keyboard looking for loose conections or something like that, I understand almost zero of electronics, but I take the risk and after almost 100 screws!!! (yes, there's a lot of then!) I found this:
![]()
Four circuit tracks have been oxydized!
HOW TO FIX:
First, remove all the screws and open the case very carefully as it have some short flat cables that could break if you open the case too much!
Well, as I said before, I don't know electronics, however my brother is an expert on these things, but he live on another city, 350km from me. I call him on skype and sent the photo above, then he told me that I need to make a bridge connection on these tracks.
I don't have any equipment for that, so I get out and bought a cheap $2 dollars solder iron and the tin for soldering.
Then I got a knife and carefully scraped the tracks to remove the varnish until I see the copper.
Got some thin copper wires and make the bridge between the damaged tracks:
It isn't a easy task for me, take almost two hours to complete but I was extremely cautious to not mess with anything else.
See the photo of the bridge connection:

I know, it's not pretty, but IT WORKED!!!
And now I'm very happy! So I registered on this forum and make this post, maybe it help others that may have a similiar problem.
That's it, sorry for my english as its not my native language!
If you have any question, just e-mail me at allanwoell(at)gmail(dot)com

Zones not following MIDI channels
In Pro Tools I set up 4 VI tracks, each one to MIDI channel 1, 2, 3, then 4.
On the Axiom 49 Pro I set up 4 zones, and assigned each one to channel 1, 2, 3, then 4.
Then, when I press Zone/Group and one of the zones, that section of the controller does play, however no matter what zone I choose, it plays the VI assigned to channel 1.
Zone 2 should play the VI assigend to MIDI channel 2, etc.
what am I doing wrong?
I'm using Pro TOols 10

Oxygen 88 Direct link with Logic - Sus pedal and mod wheel stop working
Hello,
I'm an Oxygen 88 user, running the keyboard through Logic 9, through the supplied firewire>USB cable provided with the keyboard. I recently became interested in the possibilities of the 88 as far as linking the various knobs/faders with different parameters in logic. I downloaded/installed the latest version of 'direct link' for mac osx, and indeed it does work like a charm with assigning the faders to various parameters of plugins (for example, the cutoff/glide/resonance in the ES1, or a tremolo).
However, as soon as I assign any one of the faders/knobs to one of these parameters (in Logic Pro>Preferences>Control surfaces>Controller assignments, using the 'Learn mode' function), the sustain pedal and mod wheel data doesn't seem to go through to Logic. As soon as I delete the assignments I've made, the sus pedal and mod wheel work again (with the midi data showing up on the transport bar). But if any controller assignment is made, nothing shows up on the transport bar for the sus pedal or mod wheel.
The oxygen 88 sets itself up automatically as a control surface when I open Logic. When I Logic pro>preferences>control surfaces>bypass all control surfaces, the oxygen 88 works normally again, as if I had never installed direct link. However I really want to be able to assign the faders to the parameters on the plugins!
Any suggestions?
Many thanks

I Have M-Audio Keystation 49E. I do not have the original power supply, I have power Yamaha PA-3B.

LEDs do not light.
Could this be the fault voltage regulator?

Returning to the fold - MK-361 2 but...
After having had to store most of my gear for the last 7 years, I am now re-united with it and have found my old Evolution Music Creator 49 and MK-361 2 units, minus midi-cables and with software (Sound Music) that won't work on my Windows 7 64bit system. Is it possible still to get hold of Evolution's bundled software that's compatible with the latest OS? If so, could someone kindly point me in the right direction...
I've just bought a USB-Midi In & Out cable from Amazon...fingers crossed it will work...
Thanks for your time.

My Axiom 61 simply doesn't turn on! Any help very appreciated!
Hi everyone, well I've had my trusty axiom 61 for 5 years now and I love it. I had to pawn it a while back for a temporary loan and when I got it back it would not turn on. The screen won't light up blue, nothing- tried a few different USB cables so I'm guessing it's an internal problem.
I opened it up and I see pretty much a small motherboard with the USB jack on it. I'm guessing this might need to be replaced, so does anyone know where the heck I can buy one? Has anyone had this problem before?
I'd love to run out and buy another one as I would normally do with something but this is pretty expensive and I'm pretty broke so I'm willing to get very down and dirty to try and rescue my precious axiom!
Thanks so much for any advice or help :)

Axiom Pro 25 and Yamaha FC5 Sustaion Pedal
Hello,
I understand there are several threads on Yamaha sustain pedals and Axiom Keyboard Controllers. I also understand that Yamaha sustain pedals (whatever model) is just NOT recommended for Axiom.
Just looking to find out if anyone had any luck with an FC5 Yamaha sustain pedal and Axiom Pro 25. It would be very well appreciated.
Tried turning the controller on with the pedal depressed and with it not depressed, I'm not getting any results. Any chance I can do some sort of programming or midi assignment?
Thanks.

Trigger Finger sending repeating 'note off' message in Logic Pro
Hello, I am Adam from the US, and it is a pleasure to read and post in your excellent forum here. I have checked the faqs and searched out the forums here to no avail...I have a slight problem with my Trigger Finger using Logic Pro
...in the display window of Logic or drum software that show incoming midi signals, a constant message displays: "c-2 127" and "c-2 off", alternating. The message goes on and off constantly without touching the device.
Is there anyone who has experienced this? I have used the Enigma software to program, as well as manually. I have also tried resetting the TF to factory as well. The problem seems to appear regardless of the software I'm using at the time.
Thanks a million for any help, I've been searching for answers for weeks now to no avail.

Mod wheel stops midi input for a few seconds with axiom 49
I've got a weighted midi controller (Yamaha P85) and an Axiom 49. When I use the Axiom's Midi port to connect the Yamaha to my computer, it works fine- till I use the mod wheel. That seems to freak out the midi port, or overflow it or something, because the Yamaha's midi signal stops getting to the computer for a few seconds. Then it starts working again.
When I connect the yamaha to another midi interface, then it works just fine regardless of the Axiom's mod wheel.
Any ideas what could cause this, or steps to troubleshoot?

Axiom 2nd Gen Patches and Channel Assign Issues with Ableton Live 8
Hello everybody!
I am new to the forums but could use some help and would be greatly appreciated.
What I would like to do it be able to assign my own MIDI cc# to each knob, fader, buttons ect and then using the MIDI mapping in Ableton Live assign each control to a certain parameter.
So here I am with the 61 Axiom 2nd gen on PATCH 1, with each assigned to a different cc# that I have chosen (MIDI CC# 1-42) and I find that the functions do not always work like they should, or do something in Live before I even assign it to a parameter. I have noticed that if I change the MIDI channel for a button, it changes the function.
I reset the keyboard to factory settings already and read over the user guide with little luck.
What exactly does the MIDI channel really do??? Why even have it?
I want it to act where if I use PATCH 1, it uses the MIDI# 1-42 parameters and then I could switch to Patch 2 and then use MIDI# 43-84 using a whole different set of parameters.
Hope I was clear in my message and thank you for your time.

Hopefully a simple question
Hello, I am posting here with a simple question.
At least I thought it was simple but the guide that comes with my keyboard (Axiom Pro 25) doesn't seem to address it.
What I want to do is assign one of the encoder knobs to sent specifc midi control data. In this case control data #20.
I am trying to control a fader on some DAW software. The software is ready to accept control data #20 but I can't figure out how to get the Axiom to send this.
This ought to be very simple, yet I am finding it not so.
If someone can help I'd very much appreciate it. Thanks. !

M-Audio 61 not working with Mac OS X 10.8
Hi,
I updated all Macs in our household to OS X 10.8 and now none of them will recognise M Audio 61 key station.
According to M-Audio, OS X has a native support and no drivers are required.
Tried on different macs with no avail.
Keyboard connected via USB, lights come up but Mac does not see it, nothing shows in MIDI set up or Garageband.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Trigger Finger & Oxygen61 issues.
Hi M-audio team.
I own 2 M-Audio products. Trigger Finger & Oxygen61 (blue) keyboard. I bought Trigger finger back in 2008 which started acting weird few months after I bought it. When I MIDI map pads (16 pads) in ableton weird things start to happen. Whatever parameters (in ableton) I assign to 8 pads on left get automatically assigned to those on right (like a mirror).
Pad1 (extreme left) value automatically assigned to pad4 (extreme right). First row of pads.
Pad5 (extreme left) value automatically assigned to pad8 (extreme right). second row of pads.
and so on.
Also 2 of 4 faders won't work at all. Their values is set 0 no matter where the fader position is. Max should be 127. But its always 0. 3rd fader max value is set 27 or something by itself. so I have only one fader working PROPERLY. which is AWESOME.
I should have stopped it there. But I didn't. :(
I bought Oxygen61 keyboard 1n April 2011. Now, B1 & B4 on my keyboard won't work anymore. C2 sounds quitter than rest of the keys. This is how it started and B1 & B4 keys are dead now.
Thats not it.
When I open Ableton and start playing, Oxygen 61 turns off by itself by displaying " - " on LED display first and then leaving LED display BLACK (completely turned off by itself).
